The Grape: Malbec – Organic

The Appellation: Mendoza, Argentina

Description: A great expression of Argentina’s most prolific wine varietal.  It is deeply colored, spicily rich, with an exuberant juiciness and has as a trademark, that almost velvety texture.

The Vineyards: Grown in La Paz, Valle Central, Mendoza, at 800 meters above sea level, which is a semi-desert with varying temperature ranges, and sandy loam soil.  Harvested by hand, and certified organic.

The Winemaking: Fermented in stainless teel tanks with natural malolactic fermentation, and then aged 3 months in French oak barrels.

Alcohol Content: 13.5%

Pairs Well With:  Red meat, grilled meat, hard cheese, and pasta with tomato sauce.
