The Ingredients: Rice-extract and malted millet. 100% Gluten Free! This gluten-free beer is made with Chinook and Lemondrop Hops for a lovely 10 IBUs, and clocking in at 4.6% ABV. Adjuncts of agave, lime juice, orange juice, and sea salt.
The Beer: All the makings of a margarita, minus the tequila. Bright lime tartness, a bit of orange and agave sweetness and just the right amount of sea salt saltiness, brought together in this super refreshing Margarita Ale.
The Brewery: Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was started in 1987 by the brothers Jim and Russ Klisch. They were the first US brewery to make a beer from entirely state-grown, indigenous ingredients (Wisconsinite), they brew the oldest certified organic beer (Organic E.S.B.), and the first government-certified gluten-free beer (New Grist).
