About This Product :

The RiceThis unusual Taru-style Junmai has a history rich with culture.  The Kikumasamune brewery works with the nearby Yoshino forest to cultiuvate tall and straight cedar which is then transformed into hand made casks for ageing this sake in.  This ancient technique of sake barrel-making is rare, and Kikumasamune has created its own atelier and museum to showcase this dying art.  Back in the day- before the advent of stainless steel- all sake was barrel sake.  This added cedar flavor and aroma in the sake brings one right back to the past with one sip.
