The Winery:
The property is located in the hamlet named Mouchet, in the commune of Montagne, very close to the villages of Saint Emilion and Puisseguin. The name comes from a cross erected in memory of a priest found murdered at the end of the 18th century, right at the border where the property is, half of his body on the commune of Montagne, and the other half in Puisseguin, nobody knew where he should buried and they therefore buried him where he had died. Unfortunately the cross was stolen in the 1960’s.

The property was taken over in 1947 by an Italian immigrant who had worked the vines for the previous owner. Forty years later his two grandchildren, Stephanie BOUCHONNET and her brother Pierre TAMONE took over their grandfather.
